Manfred Mueller, MA, DHM, RSHom(NA), CCH is principal lecturer and founder of THE HOMEOPATHIC COLLEGE. In his work he integrates current scientific insight into Hahnemannian methodology without sacrificing the principles of classical homeopathy. HOMEOPATHY CAN DO MORE, MUCH MORE

The highest ideal of homeopathic healing is the rapid, gentle, lasting, reliable, and harmless restoration of health, according to easily comprehensible principles. The true healer must recognize the disorder, know the remedies, select the right remedy, select the proper dose, and detect and remove any obstacles to cure. It is in this last tenet that most homeopathic treatment falls short.

Run-of-the-mill homeopathy may do a good job at alleviating symptoms and improving the emotional state of the patient. But it rarely achieves a complete and full recovery from chronic disorders so that treatment can be stopped. This is evident from many published cases in well-known homeopathic journals.

In reviewing these cases you may note a mild to moderate improvement in the psychological symptoms. Yet all too often there is a disturbing absence of a complete and permanent cure of the physical disorders. Many homeopaths who use the so-called constitutional "wait and watch" method report that a substantial number of complaints remain untreated and that they failed to completely eradicate even he chief complaint. Amazingly, these authors nevertheless claim that the case was “cured.”  

Consider the following examples from some published cases of “cures” by the predominant, simplistic, one-dose, watch-and-wait method of homeopathic treatment in the United States:

1. Herpes Simplex: a homeopath was happy to report that the severity and frequency of the outbreaks had been reduced- without the side effects of anti-viral drugs (which, by itself, is a feat that conventional medicine would be envious of), but at cessation of homeopathic treatment, the client still had outbreaks.
   

2. Varicose Veins: a homeopath reported that the pain and severity of the varicose veins of the legs had been all but eliminated, however at the last consultation, the client reported in her own words, “I still have the ugliest legs this side of the Mississippi,” indicating that the varicose problem had not been resolved.
   

3. Tics: the homeopath was able to remove the symptoms of the tics in the child (which is something conventional medicine cannot do) and make the child’s “haughty” behavior towards her family members all but disappear. However, established symptoms of the pre-cancerous state, or cancer diathesis, the child’s most serious problem, were not even addressed, nor mentioned as such. This included the tendency to be neat combined with her intense desire for sweets, her dislike of all vegetables, fear of dogs, the obsessive tendency to collect everything, such as 500 stuffed animals and her inability to finish what she started. 

These are but a few examples to illustrate the point. While homeopathy is a very powerful and curative tool of healing, many homeopaths are not wielding it to it’s full potential. This is not to belittle the profound, drugless improvements in health that homeopaths are routinely able to achieve; however, homeopathy can do more, much more.

DRUG SIDE-EFFECTS ARE SYMPTOMS, TOO 

Clinical observation shows that after exposure to multiple suppressive, poisonous and carcinogenic factors, more often than not, you are left with a man-made, complex disorder on top of the  simple, natural, inherited diseases that humankind has always suffered from. In addition, you are left with “iatrogenesis."

Think about this- over the course of your lifetime, you will have taken mulitiple antibiotics, cold and flu medicines, likely have taken some corticosteroid (like hydrocortisone, prednisone, cortisone shots, etc.), and numerous anti-inflammatory drugs. You may have also had SSRI's, MAOI's, proton-pump inhibitors, calcium channel blockers, beta blockers (or other blood pressure meds), blood thinners, diuretics (water pills), and so many more classes of drugs too numerous to mention.

Each of these drugs has it's own set of side effects and long term effects, setting up chronic artifical diseases in your and your client's body. What is your current homeopathic practice protocol doing about these man-made diseases?

CAUSES OF DISEASE

Diagnosable disorders and other unspecified chronic complaints have their roots in multiple causes. With a little investigation into the patient's health history and current circumstances and environment, these causes can often be identified. We show you how to make extensive use of medical records of past treatments and drugs, history of exposures, such as to pesticides, microwave radiation, chemicals, etc., and specialized data bases to detect and systematically reverse these disorders.
