Triangle Area In-Person Appointments
Our next round of in-person appointments in the Triangle area of North Carolina is Thursday and Friday, February 19 and 20, 2009. If you would like an in-person appointment, please CALL (no emails, thanks) to schedule one ASAP as we are booking fast!
We are searching for a new location so if you have any suggestions, please let us know soon. Thanks!
Teaching Clinic
The next Teaching Clinic is scheduled for Saturday February 21, 2009 in the Triangle Area of NC (we are also in need of a suitable location for the clinic). The Teaching Clinic is where Manfred takes the case of a client in front of a group of homeopathic practitioners and students whereby a discussion of his methodology and observations follow.
You are invited to participate in one of two ways:
1. Have your case taken in the Clinic- We are looking for cases to present at the clinic. The appointment cost is only $75.
2. Come as a Student- receive credit hours towards schooling and CCH certification requirements. The cost for student participants is $75

Tips from the Office:
1. Don’t throw away those homeopathic pellets after the expiration date! FDA guidelines require remedy manufacturers to add a mandatory date of expiration. In practice, homeopaths for 200 years have all come to the same conclusions…pellets can last a lifetime or longer when properly stored away from extreme temperatures (roughly, below freezing and above 120°F) and when keep dry.
2. Storing liquid remedies in some sort of metal container (thicker than a cookie tin, and made from a conductive metal like copper, aluminum, etc) helps protect them from ambient radiation which will weaken their effectiveness- especially important if you are traveling and are unable to control your environment.
3. Taking label reading for granted can lessen the effects of homeopathic treatment. Even ingredients like Tea Tree oil (Melaluca) can antidote treatment. If you have further questions about antidotes, please send us an

4. Constitutional treatment under the supervision of a trained homeopath can make you more resistant to infectious diseases like colds, flus, pneumonias, staphylococcus and streptococcus infections, etc.
Natural Household Tips:
1. Diapers: Our daughter was breaking out in flaming diaper rashes that persisted for days. This lead us on the search for "natural" diapers since cloth diapers (for us) weren't a viable option. After doing the research we realized that conventional diapers are full of petrochemicals, processed in chlorine or scented with harmful fragrances. We switched to these "natural" diapers and the rashes never recurred. Alternatives are available at the healthfood store and you can order diapers online where they are often cheaper, come with free shipping and bulk discounts.
2. Diaper Wipes: Even wipes marketed specifically for sensitive skin and sold in the healthfood stores can contain ingredients that may cause skin rashes, irritation, (and worse) hives, allergies, etc. We seen irritation, diaper rashes, etc., occur again and again with use. As a completely inert alternative, try using old cut up t-shirts, cut up flannel or disposable cotton pads along with a squirt bottle filled with water to clean your baby’s bottom.
3. Diaper rash: Most cases of diaper rash will cease after you switch diapers. For occasional rashes, you may want to try Calendula tincture diluted in water. Dilute with enough water (about 1 in 20) to get avoid the sting of alcohol on sensitive skin. Apply with a cotton pad or cloth. If the rashes still persist, consider making an appointment to look for offending substances and address the problem constitutionally.
4. Having trouble deodorizing your toilet without using harsh, harmful conventional chemicals? Sprinkle your toilet bowl with simple baking soda (any ol’ brand will do). Let it sit for several minutes then scrub and rinse. Neutralizes odor as it cleans with a mild abrasive action.
5. Speaking of baking soda, try it to clean sinks, to clean tubs and showers: sprinkle it on then spray with hydrogen peroxide and scrub after a few minutes to really bust through soap scum, and put it into a shaker at your sink: sprinkle it into your pots and pans as you scrub for it’s mild abrasive action.
6. Try mopping your floors with white vinegar diluted with water. Or use a natural multipurpose cleaner sprayed on the floor and then mop with clean water. Or try a very diluted solution of castile soap or dish soap.
