My most recent experience with homeopathy involved the flu and a friend. I was working in an office in Oklahoma with a few hundred other people and naturally had opportunity for exposure to the "bugs" circulating at the time. Sniffles, aches, sore throat, disgust: I don't want to lose time at work! So I talked with a friend who is an alternative-health practitioner in Missouri, and she had personally had good results taking Oscillococcium (one of the varieties of those tiny homeopathic pills). So I took the suggestion and picked up a three-tube pack at the Wild Oats / WholeFoods store. It was Friday... and within a day I was much better, with the sore throat and sniffles fading. By Monday I was feeling very well and ready to take on the world... or at least the next virus.

Our first experience with homeopathy came about as we searched for something other than the usual antibiotic routine for our daughter’s recurring ear infections. She actually had tubes in her ears for a while, and even one in her eye! When they decided to start injecting amoxicillin, we said “This is not working, there must be something else.”
After a 90 minute visit talking about a wide range of topics, it was suggested our daughter might benefit from a remedy called Pulsatilla. We were also told about possible benefits from doing a series of “clearing remedies”; a process that would in effect antidote all our daughters vaccinations and past medications among other things.
After a month of using the remedies, our daughter not only had no ear infection, her eyes sparkled with a healthy glow we had never seen before. And she has never had another ear infection in the last 12 years.

About 10:00 in the morning Albert was attacked by 8-10 “mad” honey-bees, which crawled under his pants and shirt, in the school playground.
Day 1
Morning symptoms: he had about 8 stings (6 on right shoulder and 2 on inside of right leg/ groin) that looked just like mosquito bites
Afternoon symptoms: Spots on shoulder getting bigger, red and puffy/ about one inch in each. He had a spot on his right leg where 2 of the stings were coming together, of about 3 x 5 inches; raised, cloudy, puffy and had a white outline, a purple spot right in the middle/eyes sunken/ dark brown rings under eyes
Prescription:
To neutralize venom: Salt by mouth every 5 to 10 minutes/ Baking soda applied wet locally
Apis 30C every 30-45 minutes/ olfactory and locally
Lachesis 1Q every hour for purple spot which indicates internal hemorrhage
Evening symptoms: overall improvement/ spot spreading, much bigger (MM: spreading is a good sign, venom is diluting)/ very tight in the middle/less raised/ less purple/ less puffy/ still cloudy/ itchy
Prescription:
Apis 31C every hour
Continue Lachesis 1Q (for up to 10 doses)
Continue baking soda applied wet locally
Day 2
Symptoms: overall improvement continues/ Spot on leg: same size/ less purple/less hot/less red/less bright/ pinky looking/ swelling bad/ blowing up. Spot on shoulder: there is a spot where half the stinger is still in, it broke off/ spot getting much bigger/ swelling, very tight, very red, very hot
Prescription:
Apis 32 C every 1-2 hours
Continue Lachesis 1Q (for up to 10 doses)
Continue baking soda applied wet locally
Day 3
Symptoms: overall improvement continues/ spots spread and shrink, spread and shrink/ purple gone/ bruise looking, bluish and green
Prescription:
Apis 33 C every 3-4 hours
Hepar 3X every hour to help expel the stinger
Discontinue Lachesis
Arnica 30 C for bruising
Continue baking soda applied wet locally
Day 4
Morning Symptoms: sting came off!!/ every spot gone!!/ no trace of anything!!/ Albert asks: “Mom, do you wanna play “Guess which leg it was??”

Short and simply: my cat was tearing her fur out to the point of being bald and obsessively grooming for almost a year. She had lost 25% of her body weight, became extremely argumentative and irritable (gee wonder why?) after being treated with an oral product for mange (which she never had) containing the drug Ivermectin. I am a true believer and student of homeopathy. Here’s why I am now studying homeopathy:
When my nursing son was 9 months old, he had repeated ear infections. He had 6 or 7 courses of antibiotics which didn’t cure the problem, just palliated for a week or two and then he’d be in pain again. The doctors were talking about putting in tubes. Before going this route, I consulted a homeopath who gave my then 16 month old son a remedy (Chamomilla) which cured the infection. He is now 13 years old and hasn’t had an ear infection since. Cool stuff!

I originally came to Dr. Mueller with a diagnosis of Sjoren's Syndrome and a secondary diagnosis of fibromyalgia. I had six episodes of violent flu-like illnesses over the course of the winter of 2007-08, 2 of which required me to go to the Emergency Room because of dehydration. I had extremely dry eyes, mouth and skin. My pain level was usually, on a scale of 1-10, around a 4, which could head up to 8 or 9 during abrupt weather changes. Because of the problems with my feet and knees, we had moved to a ranch home in order to help me take care of my 4 young children. Stairs were extremely difficult for me and I could not walk up them without pain. [We had lived in a 3 story home with the 3rd floor being a finished attic we had used as a playroom for the kids.]
I suffered from depression and fatigue as well. Under the care of my primary care physician, I had gone off of all my medications because I felt that they were responsible for my reoccurring episodes. I had even had a colonoscopy to rule out issues and no one could tell me why I kept getting so violently ill every 6-8 weeks. I had been on four different prescription medications yet was still suffering from symptoms. Going off my medications did not really change my Sjogren's symptoms or my pain levels. I came to Dr. Mueller because I felt that I literally had no one else to turn too. The medical profession didn't know what to do with me and I had people telling me to go be on the TV show "Mystery Diagnosis". I was skeptical about homeopathy but willing to try.
Homeopathy has changed my life. It has been a miracle, and I truly mean that. After less than a year working with Dr. Mueller, I have no symptoms of fibromylagia. I can run up stairs, even on rainy days. I have no pain or fatigue when the weather is going to change. My Sjogren's has no outward symptoms and I have what I would term "normal winter" dry issues with my eyes, skin and mouth. I have the energy to play with my children. I feel in control of my life and look with hope on tomorrow and the years ahead. I have had a few acute reactions during my treatment, but all have been resolved quickly and effectively using only homeopathic remedies.
